Inspection Chamber vs OFC Chamber

Both are RCC precast chambers used underground, but the purpose and lid/fitment requirements differ. Use this guide to avoid ordering the wrong chamber.

1) Purpose

  • Inspection chamber: access point for drainage/utility lines and periodic inspection.
  • OFC chamber: access for optical fiber cable pulling, jointing and maintenance in telecom networks.

2) Size selection

Choose based on clear working space and entry points. OFC chambers often need room for cable loops and joint closures, while inspection chambers are chosen by pipe layout and access needs.

3) Cover / lid

Confirm whether the chamber will be on a footpath, inside a compound, or near traffic. The cover style and seating surface matter for safety and durability.

Buyer help

Use this guide before you request a quote

Before ordering any RCC cover, chamber, or precast unit, always confirm the chamber opening, outer frame size, load requirement, installation location, and expected traffic movement. This reduces fitment mistakes, avoids site delays, and helps you compare the right size instead of comparing only on price.

For bulk enquiries, the fastest process is to share drawing, quantity, delivery city, and required size range. That makes it easier to confirm whether a standard item is suitable or whether you need a custom-size discussion for project supply.
